1986 Jeep Comanche X Additional Info:

1986 Jeep Comanche Mercedes OM616 4cyl diesel with turbo 2wd, 5spd, 50k miles on diesel swap. Was a daily driver. If driven conservatively I consistently get 30mpg. Truck is a work truck and has dents but zero rot. Under coat oiled regularly. Driver floor pan replaced, all others good. Originally a southern truck which is the reason it is not rotted. New carpet, cruise control, blue tooth Pioneer stereo, high output headlights, LED flash then steady brake lights (I installed these because this vintage is prior to the high mounted center brake light that people are used to seeing), LED backup lights in bumper, thick wall stainless exhaust to rear, should last a lifetime. Stock D35 rear axle with 4.10s and Powertrax Grip Pro gear limited slip differential. Extra set of snow tires included. When I picked it up the carpet was wet so it has a rain water leak but I always kept it inside. It has decent power for a small 4 cyl diesel truck much more then the 84 Ford Ranger diesel and a 1997 Nisan Hardbody diesel. It is fun to drive and has a bark to it when you get up to 3,000 RPM on the tach. It can easily exceed the limits of the speedometer. When parked after a drive it will leave some minor oil drips from engine. Creature comforts are sparse for this vintage vehicle. Selling because I bought a Ford Maverick. It is 100% ready to drive and I still use it. It is a 37 year old vehicle with no rot in decent condition but just the same it is 37 years old, please look at the pictures and ask questions.
