1966 Jeep CJ Additional Info:

This is, sadly, a project that I am getting too old to complete. It is a 1966 Jeep CJ6 with a Meyers half-cab and a Dauntless (Oddfire) 3.7 liter V6. The Jeep is in remarkably complete condition, down to the Dauntless V6 fender badges. The Jeep has been disassembled to some extent and will need a trailer to make it to your shop.
The engine is dirty but appears to be original. It still has the original single barrel carburetor but does not have the original air cleaner. It turns smoothly with a bar and shows no signs of oil in the exhaust pipe.
The transmission was uncovered when I picked up the Jeep with the guts exposed to the outside. I am assuming it will need a complete regearing or replacement.
The transfer case appears original with its driveline brake intact. It appears to be still sealed but its condition is unknown.
The axles also appear original and sealed. They allow the chassis to roll easily without any unpleasant noises. Again though, they haven't been opened and their true condition is unknown.
The half-cab is complete, straight and original. All glass is intact without cracking or major defect. The door windows are a bit stiff but roll up and down completely.
The seats are in surprisingly good condition for the age of the vehicle. They may have been redone at some point. The passenger seat even folds forward.
The little Jeep comes with four fenders. One is definitely usable. Three will require significant work to be saved.
The hood is in great shape and comes in primer.
The radiator and grill are in good shape and are definitely usable.
The tub is rough. If you are good at body work, you might be able to save it. It will definitely need floors and a right corner. It comes with useable right and left corner replacement panels. It has several cracks that will need attention and some bondo that will need to come off for further assessment.
