1982 Jeep CJ-8 4WD Scrambler. Blue with Black Interior. 4.2 Litre 6 Cylinder Engine, 4 Speed Manual Transmission, Manual Transfer Case, 4WD, Manual Front Lockout Hubs, Power Steering, Front Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning, Removable Cab Top, Removable Hard Doors with Windows and Soft Half Doors, Aluminum Wheels, Radio, Bucket Seats and more. Mileage shown at the time of this auction is 88,883 miles. Since this vehicle is over 10 years of age we are selling this Scrambler as "Mileage Exempt" for reporting purposes.
This 1982 CJ-8 Jeep Scrambler was a local trade-in on a Musclecar. This Scrambler is very complete and in good overall condition. The blue paint shines nicely and is a repaint. The body itself is overall very good with 1 larger rust spot on the left side of the Jeep. This was caused by a mouse who made this area his bathroom! The rest of the body is decent with a few bumps and spots. The front fenders are nice. Both doors are in good condition with working roll up windows. The Floor pans are excellent along with the bed and rear tailgate. The front and rear chrome bumpers are nice along with the chrome radiator grill that's in good condition. All the glass in the Jeep is in good condition. The original factory roll bar, seat belts, bedside wood rails and removable top are in good condition. The rear tailgate is nice. The chassis/frame on this Jeep is nice with no rust or pitting on the frame. The wheels are nice wide aluminum wheels with good tires.
Mechanically this Scrambler is complete HOWEVER IT IS NOT RUNNING OR DRIVING at this time. Under the hood is complete with a new starter, alternator, oil change and other mechanical upgrades however the carburetor is bad and therefore this Scrambler does NOT run or drive. The factory Air Conditioning is complete with a fan belt still on the compressor. The exhaust is complete with the a replacement catalytic converter installed. All the suspension is complete along with all the steering components, drive shafts, transfer case, brakes and more.
The interior is basic and complete. The steering wheel and column are in good condition. All the gauges are complete. There is an aftermarket radio installed. The factory bucket seats are original and both have splits in the bottom seat covers. There is no carpet. The glove box and liner are in good condition. The seat belts are complete.
This is a great Scrambler PROJECT for the right person. We are not Jeep people and therefore are selling this Jeep Scrambler in NONE RUNNING PROJECT.
