This is a beautiful example of a custom 1982 Scrambler. The engine sounds amazing and has plenty of get up and go.
I have wanted a Scrambler since I was in my 20's and at 48 years old I had the chance to buy one. The icing on the cake with this Jeep was that it has a powerful v8 and an automatic transmission, which is a hard combination to find.
I have had it for a year and as much as I love to look at it, listen to it run and drive it, it's just to hard for me to get in and out of. I have a herniated disc in my back and a bulging disc is my neck. I had these issues long before I bought the Jeep, but my want for the Jeep out powered my common sense.
The BUY IT NOW price is $17,500, which is very low... There is nothing wrong with the Jeep. It is not a show truck, but it is very very nice... One of the nicest Scramblers you will find. It is just time for it to go and I dont have the desire to relist it. I want it to sell the 1st time it runs through ebay.
Once the auction reaches $16,500, I will no longer end the auction for the BUY IT NOW price of $17,500.
There is some surface rust on the windshield frame. I have a new in the box, windshield frame that is included in the auction. The miles are exempt on a vehicle this old and when it was built, there was no odometer or speedometer installed. At 2200 RPM you running about 60mph. As for how many miles are on the Jeep, I have no idea. The guy I bought it from had it about 8 years and it sat in his garage. I have had it about 15 months and it has sat in my garage. It is a custom built Jeep that was built for show many years ago. It has never been used as a daily driver. Its just been a really cool toy. Could it be driven as a daily driver? Absolutely... It runs and drives better than it did when it was new... but at 50 years old, the air conditioning and creature comforts of my truck made the Jeep just a toy for me.
