Up for sale a 1967 Jeepster Commando / Safari Top. ID# 8705F1619082
Price $ 17,500.00
I purchased this vehicle very much as seen here in these photo, I drove it to work here in Florida 3 days a week and around town for a year and enjoyed driving this jeep so much I purchased a 1971 Commando and I’m in the process of completing a frame off completely nut and bolt restoration to have a brand new Jeep I will keep forever.
When I purchased this jeep the person prior did a frame on restoration on a vehicle with an exceptional bod, the interior is in great condition as wel, it includes the tuxedo trim rings for the wheels with clips to give it the classic 67 Commando loo, all 4 are in mint condition.
It has electronic ignition.
Virtually everyone is crazy about the color combination on this Jeep.
I get comments constantly about it.
I did the following improvements :
I replaced all the brakes new from the backing plates up, including wheel cylinders and master cylinder .
I put 4 brand new gas shock, this vehicle drives and steers exactly as it should.
I put 4 new tires on i, and changed the stock carburetor to the expensive $450.00 Bosch for reliability.
The exhaust system is new from front to back.
Changed all fluids and front seal, plug, and antifreeze. the motor runs strong and the transmission shifts perfectl, the transfer case is disconnected some one removed the shifting rod, I do not know why.
Living in a beach town I had no reason for the 4 wheel drive so i never minded. My mechanic said the transfer case seems fine and wanted to hook it up and I said don’t bother.
So in all honesty I have no idea of the true outcome in this matter.
I do not know the true mileage of this vehicl, but I do know it could not have had much negative exposure it’s quite solid for how these Jeeps generally are.
The undercarriage has normal surface rust NOT extreme.
This jeep is a driver not a show ca, although it looks like on, the body is straight and the paint is VERY good.
The bumpers are straight however do have a couple of small scuffs in the paint .
The pan under the rear bumper has a small dent and their are a couple of scratches where the top snaps to the body.
The top is just over a year old And in good condition i put it on the Jeep thus removing the hard top.
The Jeep comes with the soft top seen here only.
The prior owner put vintage air in the vehicle hooked it all up except did not install the compressor. I do not know why . ?
The vehicle is selling as is No Warrantee implied.
Owner reserves the right to sell the Jeep at any time to anyone that agrees to the payment process of a $500 deposit and a Bank check or wire funds balance in full prior to receiving the vehicle.
The vehicle is located in West Palm Beach Florida and is garage kept .
