1985 Jeep CJ Laredo Additional Info:
For sale we have a 1985 Jeep CJ-7, n Original Laredo with the rare automatic transmission and the straight 6 carbureted motor. This jeep was born in Texas and was brought up to Michigan by its previous owner with hopes of a restoration. Instead the Jeep sat in his garage for 10+ years before being purchased by the current owner. While the interior of the jeep needs to be redone, he exterior, nderside, nd frame are solid. The jeep was in a slight fender bender, ausing some damage to the passenger side fender (see pictures) and front bumper (also pictured) requiring a new fender and bumper. All other sheet metal on this jeep is solid with little to no surface rust. Any rust on the sheet metal is no deeper than the surface and does not effect the integrity of the metal. This Laredo is a perfect candidate for a restoration and would be a great conversation piece. It runs and drives fine however it should be gone-through prior to any long trips. Pros: Original Laredo Rare Automatic Transmission No Rot on the metal only some slight surface rust Frame in excellent condition The engine runs great and has no knocks, icks, r other bad noises The transmission shifts well Jeep runs down the road and stops just fine Original hard top and doors in good condition Dash clock is in working condition Tires are Goodyear and at about 65% Tread Brand New battery Cons: Passenger Fender is dented Front Bumper dented Driver mirror glass is broken Interior: Dash is cut and dented (knee of unbuckled driver during fender bender) Original Driver seat and rear fold-down seat included but in rough shape (frames are good) Dash Pad and interior door panels are cracked/faded Original carpet is in poor condition being stained. With some minor mechanical work such as new brake pads, ossibly drums and rotors, nd a tune-up, his jeep would be ready to go. This Jeep is a great candidate for a full restoration due to these Jeeps being increasingly more difficult to find as solid as this one. Give us a call with any questions or concerns at 734-721-3633
