Hard top, or no top. You have your options open with this CJ7. It can be your reliable get-around town during the week vehicle with its hard-top for the winter, or because of some recent serious suspension upgrades, it can also be your get out of town for some adventures vehicle on the weekends. The Olympic White paint is the original color on this Jeep but was refreshed somewhere along the way and it looks fantastic. It... proudly announces itself as a Laredo on the side of the hood, and looks great with the Honey colored stripes against the White paint outlining the truck. A bit of chrome dresses it up nicely on the grill and the front bumper, as well as the back bumpers and the wheels. The look will change like the seasons with the Honey colored hard top and doors on for the winter, (or for the ability to lock it up tight in town). There is a push bar in the front with auxiliary driving lights mounted in it as well as a pair mounted on the hood, all with their proper covers for street running of course. The truck sits a bit higher on the new suspension and looks great sitting on those 31X10.50s. Open the door (if they are on there), climb in and have a seat. If you have the hard doors on, you will enjoy the fact that the door panels are trimmed out nicely with vinyl uppers and carpeted lowers. The high back bucket seats are comfortable and have brand new Bestop covers on them. The padded roll bar and the back seat also received a new Bestop covering to match, and the rear tub has been rhino lined. An aftermarket steering wheel matching the interior looks great and has a Jeep center button. There is a factory Laredo tach and clock in the dash in front of the driver with the speedo to the right containing the fuel and water temp gauges. Oil pressure and voltage gauges are mounted separately above the Kenwood AM/FM/CD and iPod compatible stereo for your listening pleasure. Between the buckets is a nice big, lockable, center console with lots of room to stash things. Pop the hood, and you will find the tried and true 258-cubic inch 6-cylinder engine that has had a Rochester TBI fuel injection system with OBDII hookup added. There is also a new performance distributor and wires, signs of good regular maintenance, and a new exhaust system from the manifold back. Power is sent back through a 4-speed manual transmission and transfer case to the front and rear axles outfitted with 4.10 gears. Then the fun starts with the new steering and suspension components. Pretty much the entire steering system is new including the steering box, control arms and stabilizer bar. That was in preparation for the BDS YJ leaf spring conversion with Bilstein heavy duty shocks handling the damping duties, and sway bar links which have quick disconnects for those times you wish to go rock crawling. Pro-Comp 15-inch alloys are wrapped with brand-new Cooper Discovery 31X10.50s making this Jeep look good and handle well. Come on down and check out this CJ that's ready for anything. Then take it home and take it anywhere you want.
