Fully refurbished, and cherished
Brand New: Paint, leather interior, transmission,
Better than NEW. You will never find an xj-6 in this condition anywhere !!
I am proud to offer this 1985 Jaguar XJ6 Series III, the ultimate Jaguar sedan. I am the second owner, having owned it since 1998. Finished in Tudor White, complimented by a very rare and NEW magnolia (light beige) leather interior with burgundy piping.I have done EVERYTHNG to this car and it is close to the level of any concourse car. The car spent the first two years in Arizona and in DRY California ever since. Following is a list of the things I have doneover the past year at a cost of over $11,000 in just the last 12 months:
Rebuilt Transmission (receipt attached) - $1,600
New leather interior seats, carpet, headliner (receipt attached) - $2,500
New paint, including window rust repair, front windshield replacement (receipt attached) - $4,400
Replaced front and rear window seals (receipt attached) - $141
72-spoke Dayton Wire Wheels (5) + 5 original rims if wire wheels ever need servicing. $1,200*
Six Pirelli tires with 90% tread remaining - $600
New Pioneer radio - $200
Refinished olive burl dash, including rare ashtray-less design around shifter and rare burlwood surrounding radio - $1,200
Refurbished A/C system including new receiver/dryer, expansion valve, and AC Amplifier (receipt attached) - $700
Refurbished Radiator, including installation of two supplemental fans for high temperature application (I planned to move to Vegas, but never did; receipt attached). - $550
Ceramic brake pads - $350
New rotors (rear); slotted and drilled brembo rotors (front) - $800
Wheel alignment - $120.00
New Motor Mounts (receipt attached) - $200
Spare catalytic converter (not installed $200). The car passed California Smog so no replacement was needed.
New viper alarm system - $150
Newly serviced with oil change, spark plugs, air filter and spark plug wires all new (receipt attached) - $300
New Bosch Battery - $100
Newish Bosch Alternator (replaced original lucas at 110,000 miles) - $450
Refurbished Head and Head gasket (performed at $110,000 miles at a cost of $2,800). – Not include in price summary.
*Dayton Wire Wheels are the most reliable made and retail for $300 each; purchased used. The 72 spoke models are the best model made by Dayton and far surpass the more common 60 spoke models.
I haveattached receipts for the major items. The reason I have to take a loss on all this investment isto raise money for family health issues and its come down to selling everything that I don’t need to raise costs to cover medical expenses. This car belongs to someone that will cherish it as I have.
The car is currently located in Los Angeles, California. Please feel free to call Steve @ (323) 788-4225 if you have any further questions or would like to schedule an appointment to see this beauty. This classic Jag truly is a Very Special Car and will be a great investment!
