Carburetors: 4 Brand new SU with new fuel lines and clamps
Included with the sale of this stunning low mileage Jaguar Roadster are the 4 original Zenith Strombergcarburetorsthat were professionally rebuilt. After being rebuilt they were installed on the carand properly tuned. I had them carefully removed and put in plastic bags.
We bought an entire set of BRAND NEW SU carburetors, new hoses and clamps, a new electric fuel pumpand replaced the fuel gauge tank sender with a brand new correct replacement. I also had the fuel tank'sinterior cleaned and replaced all the fuel tank hoses and fuel filter. We did this to insure that thenew owner will have 1000's of fun-filled problem free miles. We really do love the cars more thanthe money and have sold almost 1/3 of a billion dollars in cars on Ebay since March of 2000.
The electric choke works, but with these SU carburetors it's not necessary to use the choke. Just turnthe key and this low mileage V-12 springs to life. Let it warm up for 3-4 minutes and you'll enjoy howwonderful this Jaguar drives. Anyone who has owned a 1971-1974 knows the Stromberg-Zenith carbsare a pain in the A to keep in tune...that's why so many owners of the 1961-1970 Six cylinder Series Iand Series II and owners of the Series III 1971-1974 XKE V-12 have switched tothese SU carburetors.
All the gauges work and the AC blows ice cold. We had the AC blower motor replaced with a new quieterblower motor.
Wespend countless hours writing the descriptions of every car we offer exclusively on ebaymotors.comand spend many hours taking 100's of photographs and then selecting the best 75-100 pictures on every car.
We spend countless hours making sure every car we offer is the best it can be. If we find a light bulb out,we replace it. The interior courtesy bulb is out and we are looking for a replacement. The clock is not working, we are alerting you to that...we do our best to never "Surprise" anyone. This Jaguar is agorgeous 43 year old car...it's not perfect...nor do we believe there is such a thing as perfect on a40, 50, or 60 year old automobile, but this is one is one of the nicest looking and running 1973 XKE Roadsters you could ever find.
If a car needs a new battery....we install one.... and on this we looked for the best possible battery available and webought and installed it...It's called the OPTIMA and it cost $200 plus the old battery.
We drive all of our cars for 50-200 or more milesand if we find something not working...we fix it....if we don't fix it---we tell you in the auction copy what is not working and if by some rare chance we overlooked it...then call usand we will do our best to make it right.
One of my pet complaints is spending good $ for a car that arrives with barely enough gas toget it off the truck...that will never be the case with any car sold by us.
The original AM/FM radio has been replaced with a great sounding Pioneer AM/FM/Stereo CD. It's gotgreat sounding speakers...2 Polk audio tweeters in the doors and a pair of great sounding6X9's with one mounted behind each seat.
The Convertible top and Convertible top boot are new and fit well.
The paint on this car is simply gorgeous...it's like looking into a shimmering pool of black ink.
The chrome is beautiful, when redone it was triple plated to show quality and so are the wire wheels.
We had the wood that covers the spare tire inside the trunk replaced with newcorrect panels that fit exactly as they should...and then a new Biscuit carpetmade and new snaps attached.
Included is the original wooded knock-off hammer for removing the wire wheels.
Lots of great photos are included in this auction. Scroll down to the end of the copy...andgive them time to load as theywere all shot in ultra high definition...also 3 Videos of a fun testdrive....this car wasmade for the open road...and when properly tuned like this car...are a blast to drive!

Currently this car has 22,589 miles....but it probably will have a couple hundred more mileson it by the time this auction ends with a lucky new owner....it's quite hotthis time of year in South Florida during the daytime...but at night it cools off andwe love driving this car.
