Solid unrestored 1966 Jaguar S Type 3.4 Saloon sedan. Completely stock and original. This is a solid, 95% rust-free example of the desirable S type.I looked for a long time to find a solid one to restore. Nearly twenty years ago I found it here locally in Northern California, down in Silicon valley. It was originally purchased from Dewtards LTD of London for Mr. William Hewlett, the HP icon and co-founder, and brought to Palo Alto, CA in late 1966.Upon Mr. Hewlett's passing in 2001, the Jaguar sat unused until 2005, when the family donated it to a 501C charity. There, it was purchased by a local man, caught up in the mistique of it being William Hewlett's car, but with no knowledge or financial means to get it running.I purchased it from him in 2006, and had it taken to British cars in Marin, where after around $6K spen, they got it running well.I carefully drove it home to the peninsula and it basically sat and sat, and more and more deployments kept me from dedicating the time I needed. Then kids came along. One with autism, which ultimately took every ounce of free time I ever had.Regretfully, an unplanned early retirement from the military, health concerns and the increasing demands of two young children with ASD have changed all my plans.I started with the basic mechanicals and basic items like suspension, brakes and the like. Sadly, the time to do what I wanted to do to this beautiful Jaguar just isn't there anymore.Suspension is the typical XKE type independent with all new brake rotors, pads, wheel bearings, hub seals and a set of KONI shocks front & rear. The car has been extensively upgraded with a myriad of new components:* 1 new fuel tank* 1 resealed fuel tank* Rebuilt fuel pumps* New PKG brake cable* New PKG brake pads* Recored radiator* Rebuilt alternator* New Brake master* New wheel hub seals* Factory Jaguar wire wheels* Michelin radial tiresThis Jag has lived its entire life in the Bay area. Hence, it is dry and virtually rust-free.Stock 3.4L 6 cylinder ran well until park. It was last driven in 2015. It will need the fuel tanks flushed and new gas put in, change all fluids and probably a new set of points, then it will fire up.Over $6k in work performed by British cars of Marin on Madera Ave, to include the items previously mentioned.Original Navy blue is worn after nearly Sixty year, with Ash leather interior. Door panels and headliner are good. Seats are poor and will require reupholster.Clear-titled in CA since 2007 in my name always.Delivery available nationwide or overseas.
