1974 Jaguar XJ6 Additional Info:
Jaguar XJ6 . This has the Chevy 350 conversion. I bought this from a man here in North Carolina. I heard it run. He filled the tank with gas before delivering it. It never ran the same. I drained water out of the tank and tried to clean it but it was too rusted. I replaced the passengers side tank. The tank that they sell you for the series 2 fits all the years, '74 thru '79. The last 2 years were fuel injected. You will need to plug the return line fitting and connect the outlet of the tank to the gas line. I cleaned out of carb the crud that went into it but decided starting fresh would be better. It has no carb at this point. A compression check read 130psi across the board. It looks to have been a crate motor. I have no idea how many miles on the engine. The body has a little rust around the windshields. The front you could maybe get by with sanding priming and paintin, maybe the rear also but it would be better to replace the gasket at least on the rear. A few surface rust spots here and there but no rust through. Slight pitting at the bottom of the grill but looks ok from 5 feet. Most of the varnish on the dash is peeled off. Overall the interior is in fair condition at best. Not totally trashed, just ok for a driver. Some surface rust on drivers side front floor but not rusted through. POR15 should handle it. I think this is a honest description of a car you are only paying $750 for. Use it for parts. There aren't many Series 2 swb out there. They were proportionately better looking in my opinion. Please be prepared to pay the full amount immediately through Paypal when you click the Buy It now. Disregard below where it says you have 3 days to pay, I can't figure out how to eliminate that from the listing. Please pay the full amount immediately even though Paypal will not allow me to ask for more than $500It looks like ebay now requires that you select a 2nd offline option for payment or you can't list the car, disregard that please. I will not accept a check of any sort. You must take care of shipping. NO ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS. This is the 3rd time I am listing this car. Please have enough respect for yourself and me to not attempt a scam. Please don't offer me less than $750. You can save this old Jag from a cruel death at the crusher by buying it and giving it a lovin, caring home.
