1986 Jaguar XJ6 with 350 Chevrolet engine swap. Been in storage over 15 years. Can be started, engine sounds strong, will move under own power, but needs work to be road ready. Good glass, brakes work. Tires still appear good and hold air. Exhaust in good shape. It actually started pretty easy and the engine sounded strong. A little smoke, but it's been sitting a while so that's understandable. I jumped the starter solenoid to start it using a borrowed battery. This car has two gas tanks, the passenger side tank leaks. Most lights seem to work. I ran the car for about 15 minutes and it sounded fine. Transmission was sluggish at best, but again, it's been a long time since it went down the road. I'm selling this as a complete project car, new owner will need to go through everything. Believe it was last on the road around 2000. I have clear title to the Jag.
Previous owner stated the engine only has about 15k miles on it. The starter kept acting up on him and he'd get underneath the car and tap it with a hammer and it would then turn over and start. Finally, that 'trick' stopped working one day and the car sat in the garage having never been fixed. I cannot vouch for what the prior owner says, but thought I'd relay the info to the new owner.
