1971 Jaguar XJ6 Additional Info:
Car is sold as is and where is with no warranties Express or implied.
I have owned this car since 2008 and bought it from the original owner who was stationed in Germany when he bought it so it comes with a speedometer that reads in kilometers and SU carbs instead of the zenith stromberg that was in US cars.
I have done a ton of work - new gas tanks, new fuel pumps, two front fenders that were stripped, professionally repaired and repainted. Replaced the steering rack. Put in front and rear seats in good shape from a 1976 series 2. Dashboard has no cracks. Rebuilt both carburetors.
I am including the purchase paperwork and original warranty. Also the drivers manual and a shop manual are included.
This will include the front spotlight and fog lights which are wired and work. I have searched for these and the only other pair o have seen sold for close to $1,000.
Also includes are the original jack and tool roll. I assembled original Jaguar tools to replace the missing ones. These tools tools go for a lot of $ as well.
Many things still to be fixed - chief of which is that my local shop installed the right over axle exhaust pipe incorrectly and it rubs. I include two proper pieces for the fix.
Drives okay I would recommend having it shipped if more than 50 miles away. I also would not take on the highway.
Fun car - where I live it is the only one around. Has all the parts so could be a fun restoration project.
If someone just wanted to strip it for parts, it is probably worth more that way than intact.
Pains me to see it go - but I need the space.
