1966 Jaguar XK Series 1 Additional Info:
Exotic Classics, LLC is excited to bring to market this exceptional and fully restored 1966 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Liter Series 1 Roadster.
This vehicle is finished in beautiful Carmen Red with Black leather interior, and black convertible top. This vehicle has benefited from a Rotisserie Restoration by Classic Showcase Inc. This bespoke E-Type offers exceptional performance, with many modern amenities and upgrades for its outstanding look which took over 2 years and cost a little over $345,000.
This E-type Roadster is a matching numbers example. The collector decided to have Classic Showcase Inc perform not only a thorough nut-and-bolt concours restoration, but added upgrades for performance, comfort and safety, all of which they well known for. This E-type has been restored to exacting standards and far better than when originally manufactured.
The original matching-numbers 4.2 liter engine was completely rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted. Rebuilding includes overhead cam engine, headers, a 5 speed fully synchronized transmission, and high-torque starter. Furthermore, the rare SU downdraft carburetors were meticulously rebuilt and synced for optimum driving performance. New high-performance camshafts, valve springs, pistons, lightweight flywheel and balanced crank shaft as well as an aluminum radiator with an electric cooling fan were fitted for improved performance and efficiency. A fabricated stainless exhaust was handmade and an alloy radiator with auxiliary fan and poly bushings throughout. For better drivability, a five-speed transmission was supplied and installed. The brake system was upgraded to Wilwood brakes, braided stainless brake lines and Gaz adjustable shocks to ensure guaranteed road holding/handling. Finally, the restored interior received a new stereo system, comfortable bucket seats, superb instrumentation and beautiful toggle switches on the dash.
Extremely expensive to duplicate and seldom does a Jaguar with these many upgrades become available to the public. For the enthusiast who loves to drive a series 1 Jaguar, buy with confidence
