1976 Jaguar XJ6 Coupe Additional Info:
Wow! A genuine xj6c coupe! Not only that but this one has had crazy money spent on it. When I bought this car it already had a professional installation done with the IROC Chevy engine along with the 700 R transmission. It was in driver condition but I was excited about it and decided I would spend some money on it. A few of the things done to it. There were a few minor spots of rust including the driver floor pan so that was cut and replaced with the correct floor pan. Any spot of rust was cut out and replaced,it had very minor amount but my intention was to keep the car so I didn't want bondo in it. After that it had a full respray and yes the car was originally red! The car went to upholstery where it received a full real leather interior including correct pattern seats, console front door panels, back side panels, arm rests, I think it was 5 hides or more. I do remember getting the bill, I've been electrocuted and not shocked that much! I forgot to mention mechanicals so here goes let's start.........New brakes including pads, calipers, rotors, master cylinder, booster, rebuilt steering rack, new shocks, alignment, new injectors, plugs, wires, rebuilt 700R transmission, positraction rearend, tires are just a few years old and about 95 percent. For the radio I added one of the old timey looking one but has all the modern stuff. New heater core. The air was blowing ice cold until last week and either the clutch or compressor went out. I was just going to get a new one but did not do it. Plenty of money spent in all the right places. It rides and drives really well. It is a head turner,I get compliments any time I'm in it. I live in Denton,Tx and I invite you to take a look at the car in person we will get in and go for a drive. No disappointments. This car was not butchered installing the v8 and could easily be changed back to the inline 6. I see these cars needing full restoration bringing 5-7000 and mint restored investment quality up to 45k. These cars are rare and appreciating. I've driven the car a good amount and have full confidence in it.
