1976 Jaguar XJ12 C Coupe 2-Door Additional Info:
SUPER RARE, SOLID Jaguar XJ12C with the ubiquitous Chevy V8 transplant!
I'd love to keep her, but I have way too many projects so this one must go.
Purists walk away!
Checkout these features:
- Factory black coupe
- Tan (biscuit) interior
- Series 3 EURO bumpers! Very rare and $$$
- Chevy 305 V8 that runs awesome! Starts rights up. HEI ignition. No knocks, smoke, etc.
- Lowered, but still rides super nice! Surprising! Rides better than my Infiniti!
Pros:
- Body is 90% rust free except the floors (more on that below). A little rust on the doors where the mirrors normally go
- New Edelbrock carburetor
- New Performer intake
- New tuneup (spark plugs, wires, HEI ign module)
- Brakes are ALL DONE! (1) rebuilt calipers FRONT AND REAR (those rears were not fun putting in), (2) new brake hoses, (3) resurfaced front rotors, (4) rebuilt PB booster, (5) rebuilt master cylinder. Stops great and straight!
- New KYB gas shocks up front, Bilsteins rear
- 18" BBS Replica LM wheels.
- New 215/45 FRONT, 245/40 REAR Cooper radials
- Seats are in great condition.
- Headliner in great condition.
- All electrical operations work except the horn (switch inside column is culprit, not the horns themselves). Windows, defroster, lights, turn signals, heater, wipers, all works great!
- 7" headlights (both 7" and 5" inner headlights have halo headlights)
- AM/FM/CD/AUX player that works great
- Clear WA state title in hand!
Comes with the following parts not installed:
- New weather stripping, including the SUPER RARE, $$$ arrow-head and BUTTERFLY seals (#30 and #31 in the pics), for the doors, door area, etc. exclusive to coupes
- New tach converter for 12 cyl-->8 cyl conversions (currently tach is a little inaccurate due to the conversion)
- NOS clock
- AC condensor and mount (AC not currently hooked up)
- Series 3 taillights (to complete the S3 look conversion)
- Series 3 dashboard/console (if you do not want this, I'll not include it; was going to do the full S3 conversion inside too)
- Mint dashpad
- NOS floor pans
- Volvo power mirrors that fit right in!
- Extra gas tanks
- Non-cracked door arm pockets
- New gas pedal
Cons:
- AC not hooked up. Needs a compressor, bracket, and the lines, but evaporator all is there working good.
- Floor pans. The driver's front needs to be patched. The passenger's rear has a previous patch that should be redone. However, I have BOTH, rare, coupe-specific NOS floor pans to go with it.
- Rear pans under the rear seat could use some patch. Have excellent used pans to cut from.
- Some rust on the doors up high near where the factory mirrors go. Also some rust on the rear valance, but none gone through.
- Rear fog lights not hooked up
- Horn doesn't work (already mentioned).
- Needs a paint job to be perfect!
- Needs a carpet. Also the headliner welting on the sides needs to be repaired. Also the rear part of the headliner where it meets the package tray.
- Needs a rear atenna mast
Hate to see her go. Doesn't need much to be a star at the car shows. The floors aren't bad and can be fixed at any time later while you cruise her as is or after you put on a new paint job.
Wonderful project for someone who values looks and performance and unique style over originality (ever owned a Jaguar V12???)!
