1972 International Harvester Other Additional Info:
O.K. lets try this again, please do not bid on this item if you are going to retract your bids, this is the second time this has happened on an International I was selling in the last month. Bid the amount you want to spend. Don't get caught up in the excitement and then decide later you "entered the wrong amount" it messes up auctions. O.K. with that said for guys interested in this truck here we go.
1972 International 1210 4x4 crew cab Travelette. This thing has no rust that I can see, I took a picture of the floor on both the driver and passenger side and they look good, floors have never been replaced and don't need it. There is no serious rust anywhere in this truck and that is extremely rare. The floors are currently bare metal so you can see exactly what is going on, no hidden surprises . The whole cab is pretty much dent free except one small dent on the roof that I took a picture of. The bed has some dents, if you are a body guy they are fixable or just find a better bed. The tailgate is as near to perfect as you will find for this age truck and the floor of the bed is solid. All the doors open and close and the windows go up and down. A few of the doors have been replaced as the inside doesn't match, but the door panels do. The weatherstriping looks to be original. I believe the truck was originally orange with the stripes but much of it has been touched up with rustoleum or something like that. The motor starts right up and drives around just fine. I have only driven it around the yard and through the neighborhood and it drives, stops, turns and all the electrical stuff seems to work. The previous owner had been working on it that is obvious. It has a totally new radiator and new studded snow tires 285/75/16's I took a picture of those, I dont think they have any miles on them. I was also told it has a brand new clutch, it feels good and you can tell the bolts in that area have been touched recently but a receipt wasn't included so take that info how you want. I think it does indeed have a new clutch in it but I didn't personally do the work so I cant really stand behind the claim 100%
I got this truck in a big trade so I don't know much about it, it looks like someone had a decent driver or was on their way to it. It has a clean Oregon title that matches the door plate and everything seems to function. It is ready to either register and start driving or a good start for a work in progress type project or a good start to your full crew cab restoration. The bones of this truck look really good for it's age. I don't really know the mileage I just put 100,000 in there because ebay makes you put something, I can't remember what the odometer says and I have no idea how many times it has spun.
