1970 International Harvester 1100 Additional Info:
This vehicle is an International Harvester Travelall from June 1970.As far as I know, I am the second owner and aside from this vehicle having lived in a dry desert climate, probably since 1970, there are now some signs of rust that have arisen over the years brought out by the southern humidity of Louisiana.Unfortunately, the BRAKES ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL, the LIFT GATE ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR THE WINDOW IS NOT FUNCTIONAL and the A M RADIO IS NOT FUNCTIONAL, but aside from these maintenance issues, it was and is a great truck and a joy to drive. Also, it has been parked for some months, awaiting servicing and the battery is not holding a charge, but after a jump and the choke is set from a cold start, a few turns of the ignition and she cranks up just fine. There is an occasional flywheel miss, but it has never stopped the vehicle from starting. There are two gas tanks for regular gas, but the front tank has always been disabled and I have only ever used the rear tank. The engine does leak a bit of oil and the carburetor could use an overhaul to seal the gas flow, but I have a few very short videos of the start up and engine running that I can provide. For some reason, they could not be uploaded. The exhaust pipes have been replaced and the side view mirrors and rear view mirror have been changed, but as far as I know, everything else is original. It comes with the four original rims and hubcaps. The driver's seat needs to be reupholstered, but the rear is in good condition. Also, the headliner is in good condition, but a crack here and there on the dashboard and window liners could use some TLC.At some point, I had to replace the drivers side door lock and I did not get new keys cut, but the ignition key and gas tank key are fine. Please contact us to arrange pickup and thank you for your time and consideration.
