1965 International Harvester 1200C Additional Info:
ive owned this truck for about 2 years now and replaced/updated everything outlined below along the way. ive put v8-10k miles on it in the last 2 years, its been a great truck but its time for someone else to enjoy it and for me to start the next project. fly in and drive it home.
Engine, i believe, is the original 304 v8 with a rebuilt 2 barrel holley carb. has the holley points distributer with new points and condensor. cap/rotor/wires/plugs,all belts, hoses and freeze plugs, hayden flex fan, original 3 core radiator in great shape. dual 2" exhaust with quiet stock style mufflers and turndowns. valve covers, intake manifold, valley pan, oil pan and rear main seal all redone. gm 1 wire alternator, new starter and newer battery
trans is a t-18 which is a 4 speed manual, shifts nice and smooth. new shifter pin so shifter is nice n tight. new input/output shaft seals. flywheel just surfaced and lowmileage clutch kit(came off another engine) installed. new pilot bearing and new throwout bearing.
transfercase is a np202 with new bushings/mounts. new input/output and shift-shaft seals. new clutch master cylinder/slave cylinder, hardline and hose. all 3 drivelines have new spicer u joints in them.
brakes have been upgraded to a later model dual circuit vacuum assist setup. has adjsutable proportioning valve to dial in braking so the rears dont skid easily when unloaded. all new hardlines and hoses front to rear. all wheel cylinders rebuilt. all wheel seals replaced, bearings cleaned/inspected/repacked or replaced. newer shoes all around, drums were in great shape. stops nice and straight and no drama. updated to power steering with common available parts. turns with 1 finger at a stop. this really made the truck alot nicer to drive. new draglink/ends and newer tie rods. new stabilezer and newer shocks all around.
wheels are custom 16x7 non split ring, original centers were reused with new outer barrels. so you can run original center caps if you want to. toyo m/t 265/85r6 tires with 95% tread. (34"x9.5 wide) nice n tall/skinny.
the body has some rust in the bottom of the pass side fender, few small holes above the drip rail, on the front valance between the grille and bumper. the bed is pretty beat, there was some rust holes in the bed floor, thats the reeason for the conposite "wood" bedfloor. have a tool box included in the photos that can be installed if you like. truck was originally white, then green (maybe forrest service?) and was painted tan in the early 80s. has a nice patina to it but still looks good. i have some tan touch up paint that comes with the truck.
interior is 100% complete and everything works. cigarrete lighter, 4wd light, dome light etc....all works. signals self cancel like they should. all the wiring is in great shape, not hacked up at all. i added relays for the headlights, and wiring the driving lights and led bar up to those. lights up the road nicely. has a cd player with bluetooth and new 6x9 speakers in the doors under the old sparkomatic grilles. new glovebox, heater core just redone. new fresh air vent flaps were hand made. floor inside cab was painted with raptor liner. no rust, just a few small holes that were closed up with seam sealer. one key for ignition and both doors lock up like they should. pass side window is cracked, but will be replaced before delivery. bench seat is a nice vinyl that has cover to protect it as it was starting to show some wear. has a gun rack behind rear seat.
included with the sale is another 304 v8, 4 speed trans, all 4 leaf springs, and tool box. ( all parts came off my 65 travelette which is getting all dodge/ cummins drivetrain) any questions call or text tommy (805) 407-5415
