1978 International Harvester Scout Black Stripes Additional Info:

This is my baby. I've had it about 15 years and slowly made it into what it is today. It's birthday is 5/22/1978.

Scout has a4" lift, Skyjacker shocks, Detroit Locker rear differential, Detroit Truetrac in front, Dana 44 axles front and rear, 3:73 gears, Warn 1200lb winch, KC spot and flood lightson Sarco Safari roof rack, KC fogs on front bumper with separate switches on dash below radio. Rotating spot light with remote on rear of roof rack. Power to winch through solenoid with power switch on dash, controls are wireless remote.

Under the hood is a 345 ci V8, 345 ci with 4bbl carb. Engine mileage is about 60K. I don't have the exact mileage because I've replaced the gauge panel twice. Duel batteries with Redarc Smart Start SBI 12V 100A duel battery isolator. It completely isolates the second battery and if the main battery is dead, flip a switch on dash and jump start with the other battery.

Tires are BFGoodrich all terrain T/A's 31X10.50R15LT. All have plenty oftread left and spare has never been on the road. Spare on swing-away mount.

Interior is two tone black cloth with black carpet.

Security alarm with auto door locks, two key fobs included.

Stereo system consists of a Kenwood KDC-MP638U unit with remote. JBL speaker in base of front seats and beside rear seat. JBL amp with base boost. Amp is isolated through a solenoid so it won't drain battery. RE Audio woofer. All a little overkill, but I do like my tunes.

Additional add-ons: 33 gal fuel tank, 120W LED headlights and custom dash with white face Auto Meter Pro-Comp UltraLite gauges (Oil pressure, Water Temp,Speedometer, Tachometer, Fuel, and Voltage). Step rear bumper. All from Mark Drake at Scout M.A.D.ness in Lubbock TX. Mark also recently replacedthe pitman arm and adjusted the toe-in while he had it.

This Scout is not a show truck. I built it to be a daily driver, but also have some fun with. It does have some rust poking through on the left rocker panel, in front of the tire. Also a little on the right rear of the top. It also has some dings in the paint.

It has a class III hitch and 7-wire hook-up with electric brake controller.

I do have more pictures that I can e-mail. I just hit the limit on this listing.

I have tried to be honest and up front about this truck. I'm only selling it only because I have a 1971 IH Scout 800B SnoStar and a 1970 IH Scout 800A Aristocrat to finish.

Payment cash or Cashiers Check (must clear before signing over title).

Feel free to ask question and I will try to answer as soon as possible. Don't ask what reserve is!
