1965 International Harvester Other Travelette Additional Info:
This is a barn fresh 1965 International Harvester Travelette Pickup truck. This particular truck came from northern Illinois, nd it is a very solid truck. The doors on the truck are excellent. There is no rot in the roof. The bed floor appears solid from underneath due to the cap. There is plywood down on the inside, o it is hard to see the floor from above. There are some minor rust spots in each wheel well inner. The cab corners are just starting to rust with rust holes at the very bottom edge. Rockers are very solid on top, nd on the sides. There is some pin holes right in the corner of rockers. There is a hole of about 6 inches in diameter or so in the front driver's floorboard. Other floors appear solid. Seat braces also appear solid. Inner fenders are solid. Frame is very solid. Front headlight panel has some holes. There are some small silver dollar size holes in the lower edge of the fenders. There are pin holes in the front edge of the fenders. The headlight panel has some rust through around the driver's head light and turn signal lense. The hood is solid. Bumper in front has some bend to it. Rear bumper is very solid with heavy surface rust.
All glass is good except for the crack in the windshield. It is intact however, nd it could be used until another is found. Engine is complete and a V8. Unknown condition, s is the manual transmission. Trans has an unusual shifter to get around what appears to be a FACTORY or possibly DEALER added AC unit. This has to be a rare thing. It has an international emblem on it. Seats are about a 7 out of 10 with a rip in the driver's seat bottom. Headliner panels are falling down in a couple of spots. All original equipment appears to be there and intact. Dash pad is cracked and buckled in the middle. All original gauges are there. Some rusting on the chrome. All engine parts appear to be intact, ncluding the original air cleaner. All original rims are there as are a couple of original, et rusty, ubcaps. Tires hold air but are dry rotted. No brakes, heels do roll pretty good.
There is some slight damage to the grille. Could be straightened. Tail gate has some holes in the bottom rounded edge. Cap has some broken windows in it.
Title is missing, owever, can do a bonded title here in the state of Wisconsin.
I am unsure of where to look for a vin plate on this thing. I don't know what model it is or what the tonnage rating is. If anyone can give me hints or more information, hat would be appreciated. These are EXTREMELY rare trucks, nd if I wasn't already building a 78 Dodge crew cab that was way rustier than this one to start (still need at least one rear door :( ), would be building this thing as it is SOLID.
