1955 GMC short bed truck finished to show quality. Won Best of Show at a recent charity event in the area (see pic). You could not duplicate this truck for 2X the asking price. Finished in House of Hues "Harvest Flame" metallic, the paint and body on this truck is phenomenal, with zero rust anywhere, zero mediocre bodywork, and very high finish quality. Both the bed and engine bay received the same exacting attention to detail as the exterior body, with laser straight panels, high quality woodwork, and stunning fit, finish, and polish. New chrome, glass, seals, and hardware are all buttoned together with high quality polished stainless fasteners. Truck is powered by a nicely detailed & reliable Olds 350 and TH350 automatic transmission. A Camaro subframe has been added for much better handling/drivability and finished to a level that looks nicer than factory.
Finished with power steering, power disc brakes, tilt wood wheel, excellent tires, and new high quality Billet Specialties high-polished wheels. Chassis is completely finished and detailed, including painted and polished subframe, gas tank, and many other nice details. And if car shows had "Best Truck Bed" categories, this truck would win every time. Inner bedsides are absolutely mirror smooth, and the tailgate finish is almost a work of art itself.
The interior is a gorgeous cocoa brown, with matching metallic brown painted/polished accent paint (including the roof), new upholstery, carpet, and other matching details. Seats have been refoamed for a nice, firm ride, and matching seat belts have been installed. Seat tilts forward for storage of small items, folding chairs, etc. As the money invested in this build went to the high degree of paint, body, and finishing details, there is presently no AC or sound system, but buyer can personalize this jewel with these items as they see fit or leave as is like I have and enjoy driving it and hauling home car show awards. Oil pressure, temp, and bat/alt gauges all work, but speedo and fuel gauge need new cable/sending unit.
We've owned this particular truck for the past 5 years and it had a prominent role in our wedding photos. We love it but we bought my wife another truck that has more nostalgia for her, so it's time to find this one a new home.
