1979 GMC C15 Chevrolet C-10 Sierra Grande Shortbed Stepside Additional Info:
Very nice, 2 long term owner (they nicknamed her Ol' Brownie), rust free, heavily optioned, great running and driving (new engine/rebuilt trans), shortbed, half ton, stepside 1979 GMC C15 Sierra Grande pickup truck (identical to its Chevy Silverado C-10 counterpart) which has spent its entire life in the dry, desert climate of Southern Utah (about 125 miles north of Las Vegas). I'm the Ebay go-to guy among my circle of friends and my buddy has asked me to sell it for him.
The body is really well preserved. It has some minor dents here and there but nothing major. What's important is it's rust free. It was built in California and sold in Southern Utah so it has probably never seen snow. Two small bolt-on inner fender plates show rust (one on each side; see pics) but they are easily replaceable and not part of the body. Long ago the hood and hinges were replaced and the entire truck was resprayed in the original color. All glass is good and the lights work. It still has the original wood in the bed. The only items non-original are the rims and grill.
The interior is a typical example of the only downside of a life spent in the desert. The upholstery and plastic bits are showing their age (see pics). Door panels and dash cover have already been replaced once. Fortunately these pieces are inexpensive and readily available in the aftermarket. Upside is the floorboards, kick panels and cab corners are in great condition. Speedometer, odometer, gas gauge, temp gauge, lights, wipers and power windows all work. Plus, it's a factory AC truck (and it works!) but some of the air ducts (included) need to be put back in. Seat belts are included but not installed.
The running gear is in excellent condition. It has been driven sparingly (less than 1600 miles) since a remanufactured long block was installed and automatic transmission rebuilt some years ago. Upgrades include an Edelbrock intake manifold and 4 barrel carburetor. Brakes have been gone through recently as well including a new vacuum boost and master cylinder. This truck starts, runs, accelerates, shifts, turns, brakes and stops exactly as it should. Tires have great tread but are old. The power brakes, power steering, automatic transmission, air conditioning and power windows all make this a very civilized daily driver. I'd drive it cross-country tomorrow.

That would be a fun adventure and I'd be happy to help facilitate it.This very cool 1979 GMC C15 Sierra Grande pickup truck is located in the dry, desert community of Santa Clara, Utah(about 125 miles north of Las Vegas). Good luck and good bidding.
