1947 GMC 1/2 Ton Pickup Additional Info:

Rare, memorable, and definitely unique - this 1947 GMC 1/2 Ton Pickup is an interesting rat rod custom offered at quite an affordable price.
We're not afraid to call this a rat rod. Today that is a term of endearment where someone took the time to get exceptionally creative. So take a moment to see how they sweated the details in this creation. For example, the red on the grille coordinates with the red peeking through the black paint especially with the old-school shop name on the door. And that coordinates with everything from the classic steelie wheels to the '59 Caddy tail lamps. The truck bed is made of real wood, and you'll love the looks you get when you fill up the beer keg gas tank. The holes drilled into the sun visor and bed are a nod to old-school hot rod weight savings. They even took the time to put on classic whitewalls and half-moon caps to give this slammed rat rod some genuine vintage flair.
Inside is more cool industrial craftsmanship. The custom bucket seating was built with rivet welds, but it also shows its softer side with metallic vinyl padding and cup holders. The classic dash had all of its nonessential elements patched over with steel. So you're focused on the driving necessities, such as the sports steering wheel, essential gauges, and that bright gear stick.
Under the butterfly hood is a 235 cubic-inch inline six. It's an upgrade in displacement over what was available in 1947 without losing the iconic attitude. More importantly, these motors have earned a reputation for being tough and reliable as an anvil exactly what you want in a truck that looks like it eats gravel for breakfast. While this is not an all-out speed machine, the upgrade to a Saginaw four-speed manual transmission gives this tough truck a much better defined power band that will get up better from stoplights AND make highway speeds more manageable. Plus, the lowered suspension features upgrades like an independent front end and front disc brakes.
This is a rare EC-model GMC that has been turned into quite a memorable street machine. So when something this custom and unique is available right now for such an affordable price, you don't want to hesitate. Call now!
