1984 GMC Sierra 1500 High Sierra Additional Info:
Looking for the perfect winter project that could pull double duty as a daily? This truck is it!1984 GMC High Sierra equipped with a TBI 350 and a 700r4 transmission. She starts right up and runs very well. The 4x4 works but can be a little tricky to engage/disengage and the truck is optioned with power windows, power locks, and AC. Windows and locks work but A/C is unknown. The rear springs look to have been replaced with 2500 springs and a gooseneck ball was fitted in the bed (neither done by me). A new battery, fuel tank, tank straps, and fuel pump were installed over the Summer and the Maxxis 32x12.50's have plenty of meat left for the snow.
The truck has been painted at some point in it's past but there are no signs of an accident. The body is in great condition for a truck this age and there is very minimal rust. The rear quarters, just above the wheels, is the only place I could find through rust. The rockers, doors, floor pans, cab corners, body mounts, bed, etc. are solid with minor surface rust. The front inner wheel liners have rust but are a bolt in part readily available from LMC.
The interior is in overall good condition with no tears or signs of excessive wear in the seat or carpet. The dash pad is cracked which is pretty typical for a truck this age. Mileage is unknown as the odometer has only 5 digits and I am sure it's rolled over. I am also unsure of when the motor was swapped or how many miles are on it but she starts right up and drives well!
This would be an easy fixer upper and an excellent start for a custom truck or restoration project. Or, drive it like it is. Be the lucky winner and the choice will be yours.
Now the boring part.....
