1978 GMC Vandura G25 Additional Info:
The Alien SurferI have had this for a little over a year and had great hopes. In that year I have probably put 300 miles on this and it has just sat. I am starting another business and thus this project needs to go.
This is a one of a kind shorty van and looks much like a hot wheels van with it's unique top as it was a RED E KAMP Package. Keep in mind this Van is sold as is and is a project and will need a total restoration. I have not put enough miles on it to really know what all it needs at this point. I only know the history of where it came from.
A little old couple owned this in town ever since I can remember and they literally drove it a few blocks each week to the post office and bank as I passed them daily on my trip to the bank.
Several years ago this van still looked really great but as they got older they maintained it less and less. They passed and it sat for two years. I picked it up and it has new Cooper Cobra Tires, new functional Chrome Lake Side Pipes and new side marker lights. It has a new remanufactured carburator, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, breather filter, PCV Valve and I found new plastic lenses for rear ceiling lights. I kept the old curtains as they actually can wrap around front window for privacy.
It has the typical Chevy rust which panels are available for very reasonable. It was an Idaho vehicle and here they use gravel on the roads in the winter so they fair decent but it does have the Chevy rust as pictured.
No this is not something you could hop in and drive across country. I am very certain the old couple hadn't had this over 40 miles per hour in years. As mentioned I have only put about 300 miles on it myself as I am spread too thin as it is and this project is not going to happen right now. It does have a tranny leak but the lights work and it does fire up and sounds nice with pipes and runs. I have not put enough miles to really have a clue what kind of shape it is in. This is sold as a project of a really cool looking one of a kind van with side bubble windows.
I will sell to the lower 48 USA only, no over seas or out of country bids.
Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping costs whether you pick it up or ship it. Make sure you have that lined up before bidding. Buyer welcome and always encouraged to pick up in person.
Van must be paid in full before it is picked up and will go no where until funds are clear. Whether that is a wire transfer from your bank to my local bank or a cashiers check.$500 dollar deposit through paypal for winning bidder then the rest cash, wire, cashiers check.
Assume nothing and ask any questions.
