For sale is my 1971 Bronco. The Bronco spent most of its life in salt free western Wyoming, which has kept the vehicle is very strong condition. This bronco retains it complete original drive train. 302ci small block, 3 speed manual (tree shifter) transmission, Dana 20 transfer case, Dana 30 front axle (early 1971 build), and Ford 9” rear end. The suspension is 100% stock - no lift kit modifications. The Bronco retains its original manual steering and brakes. The only modifications on the Bronco are the larger 33” tires and aftermarket soft top (brand new from Best Top).
This Bronco is extremely solid underneath. The floor pan for the passenger and driver are brand new, due to some softening spots. The rest of the sheet metal is original. There is no undercoating on the truck, so there is nothing hiding; just solid metal and patina.
Everything works as it did in 1971 - including heat, all lights, wipers. Even the gas gauges and aux tank cutover is functional.
The truck was painted Grabber Blue earlier this year (original Boxwood Green). The truck was given a new windshield and new soft top, soft doors and dashboard pad.
Brand New 33/12.50/15 Tires and 15x8 Steel Mountain Wheels
Front seats are updated from a newer vehicle, rear seat is stock. All seats are in fair condition.
The bottom line is this is a virtually stock Bronco with a ton of upside. I’m at a point where I have driven it around as a fun weekend cruiser, but have the itch to start building it as a mission capable beast. Before throwing tons of money in creating a bomb proof trail rig, I’m putting it out there to see if I can get a fair price for it and use the money to buy a Bronco that is already built. This is a purely a save some time kind of situation.
Bronco is for sale locally and reserve right to end auction any time. I have included pictures of the frame VIN which is important in today’s world of people trying to do shading things with old vehicles. The frame VIN, glove box VIN, and pillar VIN match the title.
Here is an opportunity to buy a stock, reliable fun Bronco at a fair price. The market for these rigs in solid condition makes them difficult to find (especially in the mid-west). This one is a solid example of a Bronco that is off road capable without the heavy modification, rust issues, or weekend garage novice mistakes that come with some of the modified ones on the market.
Good luck and happy wheeling.
