1965 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
3 owner 64.5 Mustang. Last titled in 1972. Still has 73 plates on it. Unlike other 64.5 Mustangs listed on Ebay, this one is real! Still has several 64.5 only parts on it. Gas cap without retaining cable, frame mounted large horns etc. Has engine code U which was 64.5 only. Built April 6th 1964. Production of the first Mustangs started on March 5th 1964. Consecutive unit number is 108727 making this one of the first Mustangs built! Interior is complete including visors, seats, shifter, radio etc. Car has lots of rust and will need almost every replacement panel available. Roof and all glass are good. What remains of the engine is in the trunk. Transmission is still in place. Do your own research and you will see that this is a very early production Mustang. Ford began Mustang production on the Dearborn line on March 5th 1964 with unit number 100001. Cars were numbered as they came down the line and all cars were run together. This was the 8727th car to come down the Dearborn line including Falcons, Fairlanes, Galaxies, etc. Even if three quarters of the cars produced were Mustangs that makes this one of the first 6500 Mustangs built. Ford celebrated producing the one millionth Mustang on March 2nd 1966.
