Bought this truck about four years ago to use around the yard. Ran out of space and moved, no longer need it. The video was taken about two years ago, I have not driven it since. I started it up and ran it every week or so but then the plastic fuel filter broke from the sun and I couldnt get fuel to it without work which I couldnt afford the time for. The fuel is no longer good and the carb will more than likely need a rebuild from sitting with bad fuel in it. In addition, the transmission shifter doesnt move freely anymore, might need some attention there. Previously the 2spd vacuum activated rear end did not function, and neither did a few of the small gauges - I dont recall which ones though. It needs flatbed wood and there is some damage on the drivers fender and door. The tires have some dry rot cracks and might not be usable for much longer.
When I purchased the truck, I drove it home at a distance of about 30 miles with an extended 15-18 mile run at about 50-55mph on the freeway. It ran really good, it started really good, the truck was in excellent mechanical shape for its age. The FT industrial engines are known for being incredibly robust. No cooling issues, idled in summer heat for lengthy durations without issue. Steering worked well, no weird noises or any of that. Brakes lacked on power but worked well enough. Purred like a kitten, just needs some TLC now.
Interior is mostly complete and is functional but could use a light restoration in a few areas. No rust on the body or chassis and the body is mostly dent free minus the collision spot on the drivers side mentioned previously and seen in photos. A little damage on the front bumper but all the metal behind it appears to be straight still, likely was just doing work.
Desirable chrome grill instead of the painted ones like most have. Drivers seat is a suspension seat.
361FT engine with NP435 4spd manual granny gear toploader transmission, 2spd Eaton rear end.
