Up for auction is my 1966 Ford Thunderbird, owned for the past 12 years.

I purchased this car 12 years ago from an estate and drove it home approximately 35 miles. It ran and drove very well at that time. Shortly after, I had health issues and the car sat in my garage since then.

About six months ago, I started working on it and ...

• Installed new fuel tank
• New fuel lines
• New fuel pump
• Car started right up and runs

• Engine: 390 CID FE V8
• Horsepower: ~315 hp
• Transmission: 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic
• Factory air conditioning

Current condition:

• Engine runs
• Brakes are not working (power brakes present, but no stopping ability)
• Not recently road tested

• White but original color was burgundy. Painted before my ownership.
• Solid body overall
• Doors, trunk, and rocker panels are solid
• Surface rust in areas
• Trunk Lid has some rust inside

Important:

• The Landau Top started bubbling, so I took it off and....
• Roof has rust-through after removal of vinyl top
• Will require metal repair/replacement
• Battery tray area is rusted out

• Black vinyl interior
• Complete
• Dash has two cracks
• Chrome shows age and corrosion

• Wire spoke wheels (aftermarket)

This is a solid project car with a major roof repair needed.

I’ve received a lot of similar questions, so here are a few quick clarifications: 1. The car runs, but it is not road-ready due to the brakes not working . 2. The roof will need repair or replacement due to rust-through after the vinyl top was removed. The body is otherwise solid with typical surface rust in areas. 3. Factory A/C system is present I’ve done my best to show everything clearly in the photos and video so you can bid with confidence. There is no reserve and it will sell to the highest bidder.
