1964 Cortina MK1 GTThe GT is different than a standard Cortina. The more rare and desirable GT has the Kent Crossflow 1500 engine. This engine is a completely different engine with a more aggressive cam, cross-flow head (intake and exhaust on different sides) with bigger ports and Weber 28/36.Additional features of this GT is front disc brakes. Bigger rear drums. Lower, stiffer suspension with anti-tramp bars on the rear axle. These were anti roll trac bars. Faster ratio steering box. Stronger clutch. And you can always identify a GT by the full factory gauges on the dash. This Cortina was brought from California and has a California clean title. The car is currently stored inside a shop in Lake Ozark Missouri. We can store the car in the shop for 30 days, or more, while you find transportation. Discuss this with us. But payment must be made in full, on schedule. The car of course does not run and needs complete restoration. A lot of body work, paint, full restoration. It’s rather complete. It was originally a dark green paint, see the door sill pic for color. Has new tires. We paid over $5k for it 5 years ago but have a far lower reserve to get it moved to another owner. No room, and no time. The plan was to build avintage race car with the stock engine or build afast street car and instal a twin cam Zetec Ford engine. See pic. It is quite a great swap with all the parts made for it from Restoford. They make all the parts to put a Ford Focus engine in the car and double the horsepower for little money.Don’t know what “Caramel” is for payment but eBay built it into the listing. Someone needs to explain it to me otherwise let’suse something we all know better like cash or bank transfer. We take mostly bank transfer or cash on site. And some kind of PayPal, Zelle Venmo type transfer for the $500 deposit in 24hrs. Full payment in 7 days. We can store the car, but full payment due in 7 days. Please understand this. Please do not send deposit, then say you will bring the cash when picking it up in 2-3 weeks. FULL payment due within 7 days, even if we store the car longer. It’shard to get cars moved these days. We are car people and can help and store it awhile. Also will help get it loaded. Ask questions. Thanks.

Some input from buyers. Thanks for the questions and comments. We are not “cortina” experts so got details from the internet. Apparently the engine is a 1600cc cross flow. Not a 1500cc. Sorry for errors. We want to be as accurate as we can. There might be more comments and we will post them as we can. Also, the hood badge is in the trunk.

One of the bidders on this car who knows cortinas really well said this one looks to be a 1965 model. Not much difference in the years. This car has always been titled as a 1964, and still is. Not the first car I have had from the 60’s that is off by a year. So need to pass this info to buyers.
