1967 Ford Mustang GTA Additional Info:
I bought this fastback in California about 15 years ago as a retired Drag car. The front suspension had been removed (frame rails were left intact). Shock towers were removed and a poor job of covering their absence was attempted. Prior listing indicated the original 9 inch was gone. I have since recovered it and it would be installed back into the car. This is a early 67 so it has the large plug on the rear. Still has the 5 something gears and is a posi unit. The original springs remain. The front shock towers were welded in off another S-code car that I have, so the front springs are big block also. The front aprons are Dynacorn replacements. There is still frame connectors someone made on the car. This car is very RUST-FREE, the seams and ANY problem areas on a Mustang aren't even dreaming of rusting. This car needs media-blasting and some minor small dents removed, some new front sheetmetal installed and your in business. There was paint remover used on this car before I got it and was never recoated after the paint was removed. This car is how I acquired with the exception of adding the shock towers back in and front suspension to make it a roller. I bought without a motor and transmission and the buyer would be at liberty to install whatever poison they desired although this is a factory 390 car. I have a Marti report and a new data plate for the door. The original fender apron goes with and has the numbers matching VIN number. This is an early build, so had the long shaft steering box. I've got the shaft, but its welded to a universial joint. that went to the rack and pinion steering. This car has alot of potential and actually would make a remarkable Shelby Clone. Clear matching title. Believe me, the pictures don't come close to showing how RUST-FREE this car is. Note only 276 were built with this paint and trim code. Also the GTA was a one year option (1967 only). The white Mustang was the color featured in Fords promotional ads. Compare to your imitation Dynacorn bodies and you can see this is a better value as you still need a donor car. Call with questions 320-413-0328. Serious inquiries only. I recommend a inspection by a independent party to verify the rustfree status. Been a Minnesota bodyman for many years and believe me I know the difference. I will email a copy of the Marti report to you as the photo wasn't that good. Thanks John
