1978 Ford Bronco Additional Info:

FOR SALE: 78 Bronco Custom 4 speed dry western survivor at NO RESERVE. Sold new at Davey Motor in Columbus, MT and lived most of it's life in Wyoming. This part of the west is sagebrush/cactus arid high plains. Super solid rig with only a couple of minor rust spots. Good running Bronco that you can drive and enjoy as you take it to the next level, or working 4x4 you can use at your cabin/ranch/lake property. Original manuals, Marti report, and jack and tools are included. See FLICKR album linked below for detail photos including underside, and the cold start and driving YouTube videos.
Exterior: Mostly original paint, faded to a nice patina. Very straight overall, some hail dents in the hood. Only notable rust is a spot at the bottom of the tailgate, and a spot in driver floor. Glass is good except windshield, which is cracked. You can't see them, but there were four small holes drilled in cab roof for mounting a rack that have been filled with caulk. It's a decent looking rig that always seems to draw a crowd when I stop somewhere with it.
Interior: All original and presentable but showing some wear. A few cracks in dash pad under the cover, floor mat has some tears, and original seat is split as shown. Lights, gauges, heater, wipers, horn, etc all work. Side windows roll up/down and doors lock with same key as ignition. Dome light, radio, and dash lights don't work. Rear window doesn't roll up/down, typically they just need cleaning and lubrication.
Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out well, ready to use as is. Strong 351M/400 motor with RV cam, Performer intake and Edelbrock carb. Nice healthy exhaust burble! I do not know if it's the original engine. Trans shifts smooth and 4x4 works as it should in high and low range. Just had a full inspection at a local Ford specialty shop, and $1000 in repairs. Shop performed full carb rebuild, new ignition switch, new master cylinder, and all new rear brakes plus full service and fluid checks. Newer exhaust and battery. Newer front end C bushings and track bar bushings. Needs the following: E-brake cable(e brake non-op), fuel filler hose(original has cracks and will sweat fuel if tank is full). Both parts are available reasonably from vendors like from Bronco Graveyard. Rear window doesn't roll up/down, usually that's just a matter of cleaning/lubrication. If the rear glass window motor is bad, they are also available reasonably from Bronco Graveyard and others.
