For sale: 1966 F-100 Custom Cab western survivor big block V8 barn find with great patina. Truck was sold new in Montana, then moved with it's owner to Bakersfield CA in the 70s. It stayed there in the California desert till the owner retired and moved back up north, where it went into storage. Solid original truck with a great look that runs and drives. 67k miles showing and all the wear items support that mileage. PLEASE see the Photobucket album link with detail pics including the underside below. Here's a neat video featuring a 1966 F100 with some of the reasons you should own a vintage truck, worth the watch IMO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X98iu91Gtpk
Exterior: Original survivor with just the right patina. No exterior body rust-through, typical surface rust inside box as shown. Nothing covered up with bed liner, what you see is what you get. I didn't touch up any exterior paint, instead I left the patina as found. Straight overall with a few dents and dings, most notably to driver door - that one may pop out with PDR. Grille has a dent, exterior chrome is very nice with no pitting. Some minor rust underneath the truck, I treated a few areas with a converter product, and replaced one cab support. Usual rust spots near hood hinges where water collects. See link to Photobucket album with detail pics including underside. I don't have key to side toolbox and the tailgate doesn't open, needs rod re-attached. Just a nice clean driver quality truck.
Interior: All original in decent condition, no smells and nice enough for the wife to ride in. Original padded dash is nice with small cracks around speaker as shown, original seat upholstery shows wear on driver side. Original floor mat and headliner still intact. Upper door panel Custom Cab plastic inserts on both sides cracked, they are reproduced and inexpensive. Gauges, wipers, heater blower, headlights and turn signals working. Stop and tail lamps not working. Heat knob stuck, control valve under hood needs replaced. Cool old honest survivor that will draw a crowd wherever you stop.
Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives. Original 352 big block sounds great, no smoke or noise and has great oil pressure. No major leaks. Truck was in storage for years, I replaced the fuel tank with new unit from Dennis Carpenter, and had a local mechanic rebuild the carb, bleed the brakes, change the oil, top off all the fluids, and check the truck over. 8.25-15 bias dual white line tires look new with great tread and no cracks, but they are older. Old school chrome reverse wheels and baby moon caps are in excellent condition, I will include a set of OEM stock wheels also. I'm sure the truck will need further sorting as you drive it, brakes pull to one side and tailpipes are due for replacement. It's an old truck, and old trucks need work. If you haven't experienced vintage vehicles before, adjust your expectations accordingly.

Pricing/Misc: This truck is NO RESERVE and will sell. Truck runs and drives, but flying in and driving it home isn’t a great idea, as Montana is a huge state with many remote areas with no cell service or roadside assistance. Reasonable transport is available, I will drive truck to meet your transporter and help load it. Title is clear and in my name, buyer will need to get insurance upon purchase as I will cancel mine.
