1964 Cobra MK2 Replica
Vehicle Details
Rare 1964 AC Cobra MK2 Slabside Replica with a 289 Hi Po engine and a 4 speed top loader transmission like the original. These models are rarely for sale and bring a premium when they are. Not sure of the kit or builder but have been told it’s high quality and the fiberglass is thick with no cracks. This car was bought after an older gentleman passed away and it had been sitting in his garage not driven for a while so the 289 engine was rebuilt, lines replaced, new fuel cell, gauges, wiring, battery, cobra knockoff wheels and exhaust. This car is built on a tube chassis. This car is extremely fast, pulls hard and sounds amazing but not obnoxious with the custom exhaust under the car. This car is not perfect so I will tell you honestly what it needs to get there: The paint is decent needing a few touch ups in 3-4 spots but is good driver quality, the back wheels seem to be sticking probably the calipers due to lack of it being driven, could really use rear shocks, has a small pin hole near the top of the radiator that needs to be soldered (it hasn’t overheated), the doors need adjusting to open more smoothly (I just simply step over into the car, I hear a lot of time’s raising the back end fixes the door issue. These are things that could all be addressed fairly easily and affordably in a couple weekends if you’re handy. If I have any time, I’ll get on some of them before it goes but the price will increase. I am only selling because I need the room for another car I have coming soon. I was told with a little tlc this could be a 50k+ car but unfortunately I don’t have the room to keep and work on it with my dream project coming. My space and time problem can be your gain. Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll answer them to the best of my ability and you are welcome to come see it in person. Test drives will not be allowed without cash in hand. Title is clean and is titled as a 1969 Ford 2DR.
