Up for sale is my 1965 Ford F100 Custom Cab painted in Ford Vermilion Red . Comes with 429 Cobra Jet motor, 4 Speed Toploader and a Ford 9 Inch Rear.
HISTORY
I bought this truck a few years ago and went through everything. The previous owner told me it was a only a 460 motor. I discovered it wasn't a 460 but a 429 Cobra Jet possible out of a Ford Torino. When I got the truck the passenger side exhaust manifold had a crack in it so I ordered a new one to replace it and it did not fit. My mechanic then pulled off the valve covers to replace the gaskets and discovered that the valves were staggered(which is unique for ford motors). Doing a little research and checking the stamping on the motor it was confirmed that the motor was a 429 Cobra Jet and the 4 Speed Toploader belonged with that motor. I ordered a new exhaust manifold for a 429 Cobra Jet motor and it fit perfectly and needless to say the manifold was four times as much as a 460 manifold.
Also went through the 4 Speed Toploader changing fluids and installing a new hydraulic clutch. Line Lock in installed in the truck but not hooked up, but shouldn't take much to complete. All body mounts were replaced due to weather rot, All new shocks, dual steering stabilizer shock, tie rod sleeve and tie rod ends replaced. Upon inspecting the gas tank that is still located in the cab of the truck it appears that it is only a few years old(possible replaced by the previous owner). Front drivers side floor pan was replaced due to some rust. New headliner/carpet and Dynamite underneath. Original steering wheel, original glass with new weather stripping around them. All work was completed by a certified mechanic. I maybe missing a few items as I have done a lot to this truck.
I drive this truck as much as the weather allows me. The truck is garage kept since it was painted in ford vermilion red a few years ago. The paint isn't show quality and has some imperfections. The truck has great power, shifts through the gears with no problem. Always fires up after a few seconds as it is still on a mechanical fuel pump. Truck sounds amazing like a true hot rod. There is a little play in the steering but the truck in over 50 years old and was never meant for big tires. The horn is disconnected because the horn switch in the steering wheel needs to be replaced(easy fix just hadn't gotten around to fixing it/can find the part on LMC website). There is a small rust hole under the driver side hood hinge as pictured above. Truck had power steering but was not properly installed by the previous owner so I had it removed and went back to manual steering. It also wouldn't take much to add power steering, it's a drivers preference. Bed of the truck is in great shape and has a thick heavy mat that comes with it to protect the bed.

I do have a reserve on this truck and I will not say what it is so please don't ask. Feel free to email me with any question about the truck. I have done my best to describe it as actually as possible. This is a driver quality truck. All sales are final and to be paid in full within 72 hours. Truck will not be released until funds have cleared. I can assist in transport meaning if you hire a truck to pick it up, I have a spot where we can load the truck safely. I would suggest an enclosed trailer as it is safer for your investment.
