1937 Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup Additional Info:
If you've been waiting for an amazing driving and fun little hot rod, your wait is over! The latest build from Eggleston Kustoms is a 1937 Ford Pickup. It has been chopped and channeled, sits on a custom z'd frame, and is powered by a small block Chevrolet. Fabrication details can be found throughout, including the custom steel headliner (with a cubby for your phone), custom bed with flush fuel fill, and a stylish frame.
The engine is a 350 that has been freshened up with a mild Competition Cams cam & lifter set and new head gaskets. It's followed by a turbo 400 transmission and the rear differential is a Buick/Pontiac 12 bolt Posi. It has a new fuel pump, new alternator, new water pump, all new fuel lines and brake lines. All wiring is new and it has new Dolphin gauges. It has all new lighting with high/low beam headlights, 50 Pontiac taillights and turn signals are on the rear only. It is cooled by a new Spal electric fan that is temperature controlled. All the brakes are new. The custom built headers are baffled, they are painted and have a few rock chips from gravel driving.
As always, we take these out and drive them and this is one we didn't want to get out of. The seats are very comfortable, and it drives like a dream. It handles the horribly maintained Iowa country roads with ease.
The exterior is in gray primer and the engine, transmission, front axle and rear differential are in Ferguson Gray. We liked the industrial color palate with the Rocket solid wheels that were picked for this particular project. The door gaps are spot on and the doors open and close nicely. Currently it has a new windshield and new back glass, there is no side glass but we can include regulators if you would like them. The upholstery on the seats and door panels is old and shows wear from many years of sitting and getting moved around. They could easily be recovered as the bones are good.
