1937 Ford Other Additional Info:
1937 Ford Truck Rat Rod by Ricky Bobby. This truck was custom built, chopped (5"), and channeled (4") from the ground up by Ricky Bobby's Rod Shop in Manchester, TN. This is NOT just a body resting on an old S-10 chassis like most other rats seen in local car shows. Ricky Bobby is a master builder of vintage rods, street rods, and rat rod vehicles. Google Ricky Bobby's Rod Shop, and you will be AMAZED at all the custom builds under his belt. Ricky has been featured in several shows on The Discovery Channel competing in build-offs and just showing off his talent. This truck has his custom built signature "cut circle and filled" box frame. The front end of the truck is a 4" drop and drilled Super Bell axle with mono spring accompanied with '38 drilled bones. The attention to detail, fabrication, and amount of time and money spent building this truck is truly incredible.
This truck was labeled "The Shop Truck" by Ricky and has been a joy to drive, show and work on for many years. This truck has literally won trophies and awards at EVERY show it has been entered in! This truck and has even been featured in several national magazines and photo shoots. This truck is a serious head turner, definitely nothing else like it on the road! The truck runs, drives, and stops perfectly, and is regularly driven to and from all the local shows.
This truck has a Jasper Engines long block 350 Chevy crate motor and 3 speed TH350 automatic transmission. In back under the bed sits a 70mm turbocharger blowing through a custom calibrated BG Demon Blow-Thru Carburetor. If ever there was a motley rat rod, this one takes the cake! Features are as follows; 1937 Hudson Teraplane grill, new reproduction "Rams Horn" manifolds, Willwood disc brakes on all four corners, alternator driven off driveshaft, custom Lokar shifter, Land Rover rear seats, Holley "Blue" fuel pump, Ford 8.8 rear end suspended with Jaguar coil overs and Land Rover control arms, Flaming River steering pieces, Optima battery, Model-T gas tank, etc, etc. There are many ingenious & subtle mods done on this truck that would be admired by any true hotrodder.
