1969 Ford F-250 Additional Info:
1969 Ford F250 Highboy, Factory 360 CID 2 barrel, 4 Speed, Manual Steering, Power Drum Brakes (converted from manual to power at some point). 4:10 Dana Limited Slip Axle. The Highboy was built at the San Jose assembly plant and sold out of Seattle. It spent its entire life in the dry Northwest and had sat since 2009 until I purchased out of ID earlier this year.
Recent maintenance performed:
Front and rear brake shoesRubber front brake hosesDrums turnedFront and rear brake wheel cylindersNew axle seals front and rearNew front inner wheel bearingsNew parking brake cablesPrimary gas tank flushedPlugs, cap, wires, points, condensor, rotor, canister fuel filter all replacedCarb cleaned and kit installedFluids changedAxle gasketsDifferential cover removed, carrier inspected, and cover resealed
The truck runs very smooth, the clutch works well, and it drives excellent. Everything works except the radio which is not a factory unit. The truck is mostly original with parts of the body being repainted at some point. The hood and tailgate appear to have been replaced and are in primer. The exhaust is relatively quiet but could use tailpipes. Even though I have driven it around locally, I would highly recommend new tires as these have been on the truck for 14+ years. Rust is very minimal and a limited amount can be observed on the drivers and passengers floor. Cab mounts are like new and still wear their original candy apple red paint as well a much of the underbody. Even parts of the frame and axles still have their factory black finish. The passengers door has had some dent repair as has the roof (I have no information of what happened here but the repair was likely performed by an amateur). The roof had cab lights that I have removed but they will be included in the sale. The windshield has a crack but doesn't impede visibility. The saddle tanks are disconnected as we did not want to clean them to get the truck back on the road. Its not a show truck, it is not restored, its not perfect, and its not new, but it is just a good old truck that has a lot of life and enjoyment remaining. I am happy to help load or work with you to accommodate transport pick up as needed. The reserve is set at a fair price, so please don't ask me for the reserve as I will not answer.
