Additional Info:
You instantly know that a long bed 4x4 is the kind of truck that can get the chores done. But this 1978 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT also has a cool two-tone and even cooler A/C interior that lets you know it can be both stylish and comfortable while also make the occasional Home Depot run.
This 4x4 machine is a perfect blend of terrific looks and true utility. The blue and silver two tone sets the vintage attitude nicely. They are the product of a more modern respray, and so you get a quality gloss that looks good in the sunshine. And this shine goes great with the extra brightwork of the premium-level XLT. The full trim package provides a distinct dividing line for the two colors along the body while also drawing extra attention to the good sheetmetal. The chrome bumpers and upgraded 15-inch wheels add to the shining style, too. It all looks quite nice, but it'll never be considered too fancy to keep it from being a proper useful pickup. After all, the liner paint in the bed not only looks good, but it's also rugged to protect this extra-duty long bed for when it's time for real truck work.
The interior continues a sea of blue in a very vintage presentation. You can't help but feel like you're in a cool time capsule with everything from the XLT's correct wood-like trim to the Philco AM radio that's still there for display. And while everything here has a classic style, it's also done to make sure this stays comfortable. So the newer velour seat cover still has the factory-style trim in the seatbacks, and the air conditioning is still blowing nice and cold.
Under the hood is Ford's hardy 351 cubic-inch V8. It has quite a tidy presentation, and the previous owner even states this was remanufactured only about 1k miles ago. Plus, this F-150 has also been given the right upgrades to keep it strong - everything from newer hoses to an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. The V8 fires up readily and makes a nice tune out of the newer exhaust. The two-speed transfer case, lifted stance, and big BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires mean this is a true go-anywhere 4x4. Plus, the power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and a three-speed automatic transmission remind you that "go-anywhere" can also be an easy trip through town.
This truck has been given the right investments for added style and added ability. So you're going to love it for both its stance and substance. Don't miss this 4x4, call today!
