1989 Ford Bronco XLT 4X4 Additional Info:
Looking for a fun short-wheelbase 4x4 that's affordable and loaded? This 1989 Ford Bronco II was given some nice investments recently to make sure it retains the right distinction and ability, and it's all offered for quite a nice price.
The Bronco II is a favorite of the off-road crowd because it combines a Jeep-like wheelbase with a fully enclosed body that's fashionable in the city or out on the trail. In fact, owning a later Bronco II has added distinction. It has the front fascia that was shared with the first-generation premium Ford Explorer. And while there was a two-door version of that vehicle, the top-wrapping side glass, and squared-off 4x4 stance gives this one has a style all of its own (it's almost this is like the rare, extra capable Explorer.) While that's already quite distinct, this one has even more to its story. It's a two-owner vehicle where the second owner saw it for sale in his hometown. He made the right investments (like those bright 15-inch alloys,) and at the same time, he also kept some things quite original. Even the bold red and white two-tone paint is believed to be the factory application, and it has a good shine that also has the right aged-in look you want for a vintage machine.
Inside, the long option list proves an off-roader can be both rugged and sophisticated. The red cloth interior is both bold, comfy, and clean. It's extra comfortable for the driver thanks to bucket seats, a cup holder, and a center console. This Bronco has been further upgraded with factory options like power windows, power locks, cruise control, and cold-blowing factory air conditioning. Plus, the stereo is now an upgraded AM/FM/CD unit for upgraded driving music.
These Broncos have such a great off-road reputation because they combine a compact wheelbase with good ground clearance. And the later ones received the best motor in the series: a fuel-injected 2.9-liter V6. But if this one looks a little cleaner than most that's because it's a Jasper replacement motor likely done within the last 2k miles. We even have the receipts that show this was nearly a $8k investment all on its own! That means a strong and fresh motor that has the added torque to pull you up the hill. Plus, this comes with a shift on the fly electronic transfer case. This is an especially handy feature because when four-wheel drive is suddenly needed, it's usually not during a situation when you want to go outside. While all of this sounds like your perfect off-road toy, this Bronco is also equipped to be driven as long or as far as you want. The five-speed transmission allows you cruise in overdrive comfort, and extra passing power is only a downshift away. Add in power steering, power brakes, and front discs, and you soon see how this is a great all-around SUV.
The sale comes complete with the original warranty card, owner's manual, and build receipts. Now that the new Bronco Sport is on the horizon, these Bronco IIs are becoming a true classic. So grab a great one while you still can. Call now!
