1950 Ford Other Pickups Additional Info:
This 1950 Ford F-1 an awesome kind of custom pickup that takes its freight train commanding appearance and upgraded it with slick paint, a leather-lined A/C interior, and plenty of V8 power behind it.
You probably already know why these first-generation F-Series stand out from other trucks. While they all a basic industrial attractiveness, someone sure took their time to make sure this is a cut above. The first thing to note is the paint. The Orange Pearl looks as aggressive as a muscle car, but with a shine that looks as sweet as candy. Plus, you'll note that brightwork in all the right places, like the chrome bumpers, hallmark five-piece grille, classic hood trim, and even the step plates on the running boards. And the 20-inch Boss wheels add ton of shine, too. They also give this some speed style. You feel that performance vibe in more details, like the slotted hood and big dual exhaust tips. There's dark paint behind the grille for a more intimidating face, and it also matches the liner paint in the bed. So the overall impression is a mix of vintage, sporty, elegant, and aggressive.
Inside is a well-done blend of comfort and performance. You see this nicely on the buckets seats. They are finished in a supple leather, and the piping is done to match the exterior orange. The dash has the great classic Ford look, but it's now surrounded by upgrades for comfort. Plush carpeting (with Ford logo crest), a cup holder console, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and cold-blowing air conditioning all help make this a great modern cruising machine. You slip behind a wood-rimmed steering wheel on a tilt column, and beyond that, a Stewart Warner gauge package has a classic look but upgraded info.
The best you could do in 1950 was a flathead V8. That's a fine motor, but an upgraded machine like this deserves upgraded Ford power. So this is now running a with the mighty 302 cubic-inch V8. It has the right upgrades, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Erson chrome valve covers, Accel wires, and very straight pipes on the sweet-sounding dual exhaust. The three-speed automatic transmission feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear end. Plus, control is well in-hand with an independent front suspension upgrade, power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and the grip of modern sport tires.
It's a Ford pickup that attracts a lot of attention, but the enthusiast who will enjoy it most is the one sitting behind the wheel. Make it yours today!!!
