1972 Ford F-100 Ranger Additional Info:
This this 1972 Ford F-100 Ranger has the classic two-tone appearance and a correct 302 V8 under the hood that make it an attractive package. And that only gets better with a value price.
The terrific two-tone combination of the factory-correct Sequoia Brown and Tampico yellow will instantly catch your eye. These earthy colors and the way they are intertwined on this pickup just have that ideal 1970s vintage look. The truck was resprayed later in life so that it retains a nice gloss today, but it's nothing too fancy where some people may even suspect it's original. In fact, the heart of this pickup's appeal is in its terrific stock style presentation. The super-straight sheetmetal is especially noticeable thanks to the premium Ranger's full-length trim. Chrome bumpers, complete trim, and FoMoCo turbine-style wheel covers all have the hint of originality that make this look and feel like a time capsule.
The interior retains a very stock look from the armrests in the door to the Ranger's wood-like trim. The right fundamentals are there, like a well-done bench seat. While there might be a few inexpensive upgrades you may want to make for yourself, they left most of the stock pieces in place, just so that you can decide if you want to upgrade rather than having to track down stock pieces like the steering wheel. One upgrade that was already made was the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with cassette. After all, a cool cruising pickup needs the right driving tunes.
The engine bay continues this truck's honest and stock presentation. This one received the optional 302 cubic-inch V8 at the factory, and that correct displacement is still in the engine bay. While the motor has the first impression of an untouched time capsule, the way it fires up readily and runs strong reveals its well-maintained true nature. There's even an upgraded four-barrel carburetor on top for added pep. The column-shifted three-speed manual transmission gives you an old-school feel while also giving you firm control over the V8. Plus, there are some nice additions like a newer muffler and modern Hankook cruising tires.
This is truck has a lot of vintage appeal in a very driver-ready package. So if you're looking for that true classic V8 pickup feeling, don't let this Ford slip away. Call today!!!
