1956 Ford F-100 Additional Info:
This 1956 Ford F-100 may have that vintage pickup look, but beneath this skin is a big 390 V8 and four-on-the-floor. So it's a cool custom that's good for hauling far more than just a hay bale.
The '56 is a sough-after pickup because these second-gen F-Series machines have some nice curves, and this is even from the year of the wraparound windshield. Plus, there's nice brightwork on the bumpers, grille, and smooth wheel covers. The red paint has a nice gloss to it, but it has the same hard-working charm as an old barn. And the real wood in the bed still looks like it's ready to get to work. So you get a true vintage truck appeal. But there's also a hint at something more here. The forward-leaning stance, slightly wider rear tires, and the exhaust tips subtly poking out from the sides. This one is holding on to a performance secret.
The interior take the basic pickup attitude and adds some nice flair in the right places. So the exterior red retunes on the top of the dash, and not that's accompanied by a mirror-like panel across the bottom. The taut black vinyl seat goes nicely with the black floor mats on the red carpeting. Plus, there are nice driver upgrades, like the sports steering wheel on the tilt column, upgraded Dakota Digital gauges with speedo and tach, and the Hurst floor shifter is in the perfect place for your right hand.
The hood tilts forward so that everyone can get a nice view at this upgrade. The V8 nearly fills the engine bay with 390 big block (believed to be borrowed from the mighty '68 Torino GT.) And you'll love that this engine has been fully rebuilt with new cam, Holley double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performer mid-rise intake, and headers feeding the glasspack dual exhaust. Plus, there are the right supporting components, like dual electric fans, a new starter, and a new fuel pump. The motor runs great and sounds even better. And you have full control over it all with Ford's toploader four-speed manual transmission. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch limited-slip rear with versatile 3.50 gears. Add in new shocks, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front, and you have a nicely upgraded total package.
Complete with build receipts and service manuals, this is a vintage pickup with serious power, and if you hurry, it can all be yours. Call today!!!
