1969 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:
It's hard not to take notice of a 1969 Ford Mustang GT convertible, especially when it has an awesome factory color combo, upgraded V8 power, and a ton of the right investments all the way around. The result is a quality drop-top classic that's built for driving.
This design is arguably the pinnacle of the first-generation Mustang. You can see the lines that made us all fall in love with the original pony car, and 1969 is when the long hood and short deck look was maximized. And this example only gets better with some of the best features around. The factory-correct Acapulco Blue was updated later in life. So the sun still loves to radiate off the classic sheetmetal. And this tropical blue color has a crisp white top to give the full package the attractive appeal of an ocean wave. And because this is a real-deal GT, you have some of the best performance-minded pieces. This includes a large chin spoiler fog light grille, hood pins, and Mag 500 wheels. The sporty hood scoop not only has the 351 callout, but also the turn signals on the back are even still working on this detail-oriented classic.
As much as we like the look of this one with the roof in place, with the flip of a switch, it gets even better. That's because the top powers down to reveal the factory-correct blue interior. And there's just always an added sophistication on a factory blue-on-blue convertible. Plus, this one has an especially nice presentation everywhere from the blue dash pad to the seat upholstery. It loves to showcase its vintage style, and so you see this everywhere from the wood-like trim to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes. It's also made to be a comfy driver's classic. That's why you have front bucket seats, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and armrest center console.
Under the hood is Ford's mighty 351 cubic-inch Windsor V8. This has a terrifically vintage and fresh presentation from the factory decals to the Ford valve covers. But this also has the unmistakable look of the right upgrades, too. This V8 was rebuilt in 2013. It was enhanced and fortified with Scorpion roller rockers, Comp roller camshaft, roller lifters, and topped with a Holley 650 double-pumper four-barrel carburetor. This has had comprehensive work that also include the supporting components, like the water pump, starter, alternator, and a new MSD ignition. This strong motor feeds a three-speed automatic transmission that was rebuilt at the same time. As you look underneath the car, you'll see a fresh presentation that will inspire confidence on the road. This is further by newer bushings, tie rods, ball joints, brake lines, and KYB shocks. Add in power steering, power brakes with front discs, and wide BF Goodrich T/As, and this makes for quite a solid cruising classic.
The sale comes complete with build receipts, service manuals, and a Marti Report. You also get stock parts with the sale, including the factory steering wheel, air grabber, and Motorcraft four-barrel carburetor. This is the well-finished total package of one of the most desirable first-gen Mustang convertibles around. Call today!!!
