I have had the car for 3 years. I bought it from Texas (it still has a 1963 Texas Registration in the window) from the guy that put the rebuilt 289 and gearbox in it.
It had 300miles on the new motor tranny when I purchased it.
Not many solid rust free 63.5 V8 Sprints around. I've had a blast with this one and it's one of the prettiest cars I've owned. Would be keeping but I'm leaving the country.
Here are some details
1963.5 Original Falcon Sprint with strong rebuilt 289 .030 over and C4, both rebuilt when I got it. Car runs strong.
Rust free straight body.I have not found any rust in this car. It is a very solid car.
It was a Texas car all it’s life(it still has a 1963 Texas Registration in the window)and I shipped it to California 3 years ago. It went straight into paint when it arrived. Was Corinthian White and red interior car.
All the original Sprint parts…
Stamped fender VIN 3H17F181119, VIN tag, Fender Badges, Hardtop Side Badges, ‘SPRINT’ Glove Box, Original (not repop) SPRINT Tacho, Back Panel with ‘FALCON’ and title shows SPRINT. Door VIN 63C (Sprint) M Code Paint (Corinthian White)
Magnum 500 wheels, 6” front, 8” rear.
B&M floor shifter, new gas tank.
New (within last 3 years ago)
Paint – Color is Mouse grey (is a 50’s VW and Porsche color) and looks great on this age of car. The Paint is not show quality…but very nice. I didn’t have it clear coated but wet sanded and buffed to a nice shine. I think old cars look best this way, plus they are easier to touch up, buff and maintain. I have some of the paint that will go with the car.

THE BAD
It has had some bad bodywork (amateur hammer and dolly)aon the rear trunk panel (see pictures). The rear trunk panel has had some hammer work to straighten it and been filled. Not a great job was done. You can see it's the original SPRINT because the panel it only shows holes to mount the FALCON letters rather than FUTURA. This is the only area on the car where I have found body work.
The rear tires used to rub when cornering hard :) I’ve worn the letters off the side.
No Aircon or heater.
Has a nice center console but it currently sits in place and hasn't been bolted in since new carpet went in. All hardware is there.
Was a power steering car but had it all removed. I have the components that go with the car.
The steering box has a little play in it. Could do with tightening up / service. The rest of the front end is solid. The Global West stuff and the Wilwood brake combo is excellent.
The drivers door doesn’t lock with a key. The lock lever is made out of pot metal and has snapped. It's a common fault. I lock it from the inside and lock the passenger door with the key. The one year only lock lever is very rare that I haven’t been able to track one down.
Has asmalldime size dent in the front wing where a bike fell over onto itL
(See picture with finger pointing to it.)
*License plate does not go with car.
