1966 Ford Mustang Fastback Additional Info:
A 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback is the kind of car we love to gravitate towards. And when people get closer to this one, they are going to find something quite distinct. This has been given a highly accurate restoration less than 5,000 miles ago to look exceptionally fresh in all the details. And more than just high-quality work, it is an awesome total package - right down to the A/C interior and what's under the hood.
Wimbledon White is always a great choice on a Mustang, especially when there has been a big investment to get this 1966-correct color looking so great. The high gloss presentation does a terrific job of highlighting the fastback's dramatic long hood/short deck design. And as the sunlight rolls across this coupe, you can really see they invested extra time and money in getting the body panels looking terrific. With the mirror-like chrome on the bumpers, excellent gaps, complete trim, and confident action of the doors, the whole car feels like an exercise in quality.
The factory-correct blue and white two-tone interior is particularly distinctive, and so it received a ton of attention during the restoration. You get the premium "pony" package bucket seats up front, a fold-flat bench in the rear, fresh carpeting, an excellent headliner, taut door panels, and much more. They took the time to get the details right. That's why there's rubber mats over the carpeting, a correct spare with correct trunk mat, and even a factory-style AM radio is on display. You'll especially love how people can see all the interior courtesy lights shining brightly when you open the door (including the one often missed at the bottom of the center console.) The wood-like trim look great on the dash, steering wheel, and center console. And because this is a coupe you're going to love driving, the factory-style air conditioning setup is now blowing cold with modern R134a.
There has been a big investment under the hood to get it ultra-tidy and exceptionally correct. People are not only going to marvel at all the bright factory decals, but also the distinctive long blue block of the 200ci inline-six. Sure, you could drop a growling V8 in here quite easily (in fact, the bright Wimbledon White and Halibrand-style wheels already have you close to a GT350.) But we really appreciate this one for what it is. This was born a T-code car, and the level of detail here takes it back to make it feel like day one out of the New Jersey factory. And you're fully in control of this vintage-style package thanks to the three-speed manual transmission. Plus, the wider tires combine with a solid investment in the suspension to give you a confident feeling out on the road.
This was built to be both a stunner and a cruiser. It's an awesome level of restoration for someone who truly appreciates the history of the pony car. Call today!!!
