1973 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
This is a true survivor car. It is a 1 owner California rust free car. It has the numbers matching 351 Q code engine with a factory4-speed trans and one of only 5 with factory installed air conditioning. It is 1 of 1 with an am/8-track radio option, however, the originalradio is gone. The odometer shows 27,000 miles and I believe it to be true, but can't verify that. It has the original 1973 registration sticker still on the front license plate. It does have both original California Blue Plates still on the car along with the original dealers license plate frame on the rear plate. The original visor sleeve with the starting instructionsis still with the car and in great condition. This also has a delay wiper system installed on it. This vehicle still has the original exhaust system including the factory mufflers that have the part # and say Ford on them. The engine compartment is also all original with the original heater hoses and factory clamps intact. The lower radiator hose and clamps look original. The upper radiator hose looks to be the only one replaced. All 3 belts look original and have Motorcraft on them. The engine and transmission do not leak anything. All the steering parts appear to be original and in good shape. The interior is very nice. The door panels are torn and the driver seat has a small hole on the vinyl and a seam loose on the seat itself. The whole interior shows very little wear. The carpet is in great shape. The Pony inserts in the carpet are like new. The gauges and the bezels are perfect. The brake and clutch pedals show little to no wear. It even has the factory floor mats with it in nice condition. The interior even has that "good" old car smell. The dash pad has 2 cracks in the center of it that aren't too bad. I tried to show this in the picture, but it was hard to get it to show up. All the lights work as they should including the dash lights, the parking brake and light work as they should. The horn works. The only gauge not working is the temperature gauge. It has been checked and just needs a new sending unit. The car starts and runs very good. The transmission shifts just fine and the clutch works great. The car drives as it should. Even has the original owners manual. The car has been painted a long time ago and it is showing wear. There are a few small dents on the roof from being in storage. This car still has the original aluminum wheels it came with and they are in excellent condition. The tires are new and the rear wheel cylinders and shoes were just replaced. While doing this I noticed the brake drums are original too. All the floors, trunk and structure is in excellent condition. There is only some surface rust on the non painted parts of the suspension and on the inner wheel wells. This is a great opportunity to own a totally original car. They are only original once. Keep in mind this is a 46 year old car and is sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY.
