1973 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
Up for auction is my 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Sprint De Mexico, extremely rare car only 150 rumored produced and only a handful known to remain in exhistence. In search of mustangs lists the publication by Jim Haskell and Jim Smart " The Mustang production Guide Vol. 2" as having located only 4 verified mexican seriel numbers, virtually no other information on these ultra rare part of the iconic mustang south of the border history. This barn find vehicle was discovered and purchased in an actual barn located in San Bernardino California, and is a true unrestored time capsule.
The vehicle im selling here today has its original unrestored black interior in good driver condition, it has been cleaned and reused. It has the original fold down rear sea, and original 4 speed console with clock. The exterior body has been stripped down to bare metal and all original sheet metal was repaired for any dents, dings or damage and all sheet metal was retained and is in place on the car today. Factory correct 220 Kilometer speedometer with factory Tachometer, ram air car. All original glass is still in the car with correct stampings for Mex. with exception of a new windshield. All rubber weatherstripping has been replaced. The paint on the vehicle is the correct PPG Base Clear wimbldon white with red Mach 1 Sprint De Mexico accent striping and quarter panel deacls, which is correct to this vehicle. The car still has its original 351 windsor High Nickel Mexican engine, and has been rebuilt by the previous owner in or around 2009. The car runs and drives well and sounds fantastic. The car has factory front Disc brakes, power steering, no air conditioning or heater( all mex cars were ac delete). The car is a factory 4 speed with original Hurst shifter and original floor console. The rearend is the correct Dana Posi Rear which is correct to all Mex cars heavy duty. The rear shocks are staggered like on the Boss mustangs and is factoyr correct for this model. The original wheels and trim are still intact and on the car, with new tires. The parts that are brand new to the car mechanically are as follows, new gas tank, new sending unit, new carburator, new fuel pump, rebuilt starter, new plugs and new battery.
The car is currently in southern california and holds a clean california Title. The car was built in the LaVilla plant, Mexico City originally. There is not much information on these cars and a special vin decoder must be used to decifer mexican cars. A picture of the vin trim tag can be provided to serious buyers via text message, as this car is extremely rare and must be protected . The car can be seen in person and taken on a test drive with me if serious. This is a chance to own a rare relic of mustang history, this is probably the only one of its kind for sale at this time in the USA. I can be reached via phone for serious questions prior to bidding at 760-567-0489. This car is being sold "as is where is", with No warranties implied or agreed upon, buyer holds harmless the seller, buyer does own research prior to bidding. This car is being offered For Sale Locally and i reserve the right to end auction early if car sells Locally first. Good Luck And Happy Bidding !
