1985 Ford Bronco Custom Show Truck Additional Info:
Here's a very unique Bronco that will absolutely get attention at the gas station, car show, or wherever you drive it! The custom paint job was designed and painted by a Southern Illinois Body Shop about 13 years ago. The Bronco was kept in a garage and used to promote an Auto Repair and Body shop at parades and car shows. The body and paint are amazing - straight everywhere, very good looking.
I bought the Bronco about a year ago for my aging father. It was for a time when he needed a special gift to brighten up his life. He kept it in a garage most of that year and we did a few car shows together with this Bronco and my 'hot rod' car. I replaced the window and door seals when he told me that he was buying a daily use truck and would be putting this outside of his garage. It is no longer in a garage and really should be. I have no free space at my place - so I'm putting it up for auction.
Here is what I know of the body work - it was completed about 13 years ago and a few Broncos were used before all exterior metal was perfect enough for this shop owner. He prepped and painted it black, then went over with the custom paint you see in the photos. The previous owner never drove it on rainy or winter days and it hasn't been put on a road with any salt or 'cinders' ever. He was very picky about the buyer and wouldn't let us drive it until the weather was nice.
The engine is a 300 - 6 cylinder manual with granny low 4 speed. When I bought it, it was running very rich. I had the Holley carb rebuilt and a fuel pump replaced. It starts well and still is jumpy so the carb still needs to be adjusted. It also has an Offenhauser intake manifold which is a nice addition. The combo carb and intake was on it when I bought it. I'm not a mechanic so I can't tell you much more. Brakes are good, starts up well, exhaust sounds good and looks good.
The interior is original and nice looking, the dash is in very good condition. Seats are blue and we had intended on having them re-upholstered in red / black but did not get to it. It is a base model so no AC - but we didn't care. It was driven around town on nice days and to car shows. There is some rust on the rocker panel area and I have photos of this. I'm not sure what is underneath but I know it doesn't leak anything. Steering is amazingly tight for this older Bronco. Tires look good, wheels could be upgraded. I even thought about keeping it, getting a slight lift, and putting on bigger tires and new wheels but ... no room in a garage for it.
Have title in hand, will assist with any inspector that needs to visit. OK with a transport pickup but prefer that the buyer see and drive the Bronco themselves in person.A non-refundable PayPal deposit of $200 is required within 24 hours upon a winning bid.I require payment in cash or cashier's check in advance. I can also do PayPal but it either has to be a gift payment or you pay the additional fees. The Bronco may be listed locally and therefore might sell before this auction wraps up.Please contact me with any questions. I can take specific photos upon request.
